Press release from Washington DC: Whitney is always in our thoughts and prayers

Dear Whitney,

you never die. You live on. Now: A favorite song: Whitney Houston – I Learned From The Best

(Personal note to curious fans: She re-incarnated successfully. Very fast. She sang all the way through even on the other side. She never thought she was dead. She was aware most of times. A task given to her successfully completed.)

Will meet again.

Meditation so how does it work for me?

by Dr. A Monica Dorhoi

These days as we publicize our meditation classes in Washington DC – we have opened them to all Washingtonians to enjoy – we find out that the general public still has trouble grasping what meditation really means…for them.

But everything is changing. Everyday that passes by more and more people know about meditation.

How does it work and even more important how many times do I have to do it to have any results.

In November 2014, I have the privilege of teaching at NASA as well as at the National Defense University for the US Army. Meditation is seen as a skill. A much needed stress management skill that all staff should have.

At the National Defense University, the meditation event and classes were offered through the health department and what truly we liked was the professionalism and seriousness of the staff that signed up for the classes.

The two institutions have inspired me to work with the health insurance companies to actually reimburse for the meditation classes just as they do with any other counselling. We are working with the most important providers in setting up best practices and standards for the meditation classes and the training standards of the meditation teachers that qualify.

If you are interested in taking more classes in Washington DC area, previously I have collaborated with the Kay Spiritual Center at the American University and the John Main Meditation Center of the Georgetown University in developing such classes and events for their students.

In Washington DC area, it is also us who are supporting the meditation research in academia and to bring research money to the different research institute. The World Bank IMF Staff Meditation Club actively supports research at Georgetown University Hospital and George Washington University.
